Political Structure: Semi-presidential government with a parliament which can be dissolved by the President of the Republic, who is elected for a term of five years. The parliament consists of one chamber known as the National Assembly which has 111 seats with members elected to serve five year terms. There is also a constitutional chamber, composed of ten members. Council of Ministers appointed by the President on the recommendation of the Prime Minister.
